Re: Collectors corner
In ex-Yu Italian "fumetti" are by far the most popular, then French stuff and Murka comics in distant third.
Most of monthly comics that I buy are Bonelli, like Tex Willer, Dylan Dog and Ken Parker, among others.
Of the BD I collect Asterix, Thorgal, Blueberri and comics by Herman, who is one of my favourite artists... Those are mostly hc trades, bigger format.
Also I have all of Fosters run on Prince Valiant, with original colors, perfect edition in many ways. The rest are murka trades, tons of Batman, Best of Marvel, some DC...
Almost all are our editions and pretty expensive for salaries here.
Allan Moore is my favourite writer, so I have almost all comics that are published in ex-Yu, Watchmen I have in maybe five editions, Miracleman, The League, From Hell...

The Rippaverse. A new comics company or something? Some woke weirdos were freaking out about it which is an encouraging sign.

"The American comic book industry has its issues,
but that doesn’t mean that there isn’t market.
You just want awesome comics and a place to escape. Somebody has to bring it back to the essence. Why not us?"
---
Seems like they received way over $1 million of orders on their first day or something. It all sounds very dramatic.

Re: Collectors corner
Just goes to show. If you provide something which people want, they will throw money at you. Especially if they've been starved of it.
Sounds like these folks truly are getting back to basics.

Re: Collectors corner
Plenty of small inde publishers putting out good stuff.
It's not really marvel or dc they are competing with
They don't give a shit about stories
