The Shining was on tv recently. Remembered it as a shit movie, but liked it now. Still not a fan of Jack though.

Was it in the remake (the miniseries)? Tried watching it, but decided against it after the first half hour. Pure shit.

If he's referring to the hedge animals coming to life outside the hotel, that is indeed in the mini series.

Some shots from the mini series here, including the hedge animals. The 90s tv CGI probably didn't do them any favours.
