Should The FA Cup Final Be The Last Game of The Season?
Am I alone in thinking that yesterday's final was overshadowed to a degree by the title being decided earlier in the day?
When you actually feel anger over a place like this it's time to get a life

Dunno about the last game of the season, I think the problem this weekend was that it was on the same day as a load of PL games.
So simple solution if this arises again - play the FA Cup final on the Saturday and have all the PL matches that weekend switched to a Sunday. There are never any CL or Europa League matches midweek at this time of year (bar the Europa League final) so cant see an issue with doing that.

Traditionally speaking, it should bring the curtain down on the English season, with only the European cup final after it.

Aree with that, but in unavoidable situations (either a summer football competition requiring an earlier than normal end to domestic seasons, or the situation that has arisen this year), the PL matches should ALL have been played today. Its not as if this was a last minute arrangement - been known for years Wembley was hosting this event.Knots & crosses wrote:Traditionally speaking, it should bring the curtain down on the English season, with only the European cup final after it.

Definitely should be the last game of the English domestic season.
One year I got a bike for my birthday. So I went peddling off down the road and knocked an old lady down.
'Can't you ring your bell?' She said. 'I can ring my bell,' I said 'But I can't ride my bike'

It shouldn't clash with any league games and it just seems a fitting way to bring the curtain down on a long domestic season.
