MVG's first TV ranking title this season, having lost his UK Open, Matchplay and Grand Prix to Wright, Taylor and Gurney.
Isnt the world championship his first ranking title of the season?

As brilliant a first year as Cross has had, I can't have been the only one thinking "Barney" when it was said that Cross has had the best first year in the PDC.
I guess. But Barney switched in a very different era. Certainly in the pro tour era, Cross stands out.

So are the number of events so consistency shown as well by cross.
In hindsight yesterdays final was much like so many Taylor finals in his pomp. The opposition can stay with him for ten legs, but it's the ability to keep doing it that sees mvg win.

Was a good weekend of darts. Just a shame the Aussies arse fell out going for double 10 to beat uncle fester in the semi. Cross was outstanding.

As far as I remember it Barney won the UK Open, Desert Classic and World Championship in his first year in the PDC, beating Taylor on the way to winning all three. Yar?

A season is one complete set of events, beginning with Q-School and ending with the World Championship. And hullo, mate.

Darts1000 the scruffy cunt only crawling back when Hunchback actually won a title.
Imagine if Kyle hadn't missed 2 darts at double for the match, we would have another month without his demented ramblings.

Take that as a warm welcome back mate

I like this. Stats of 17 UK players versus 15 Rest of the World.

It's still a slight advantage for the UK. #LoveTheDarts #Darts #Unibet180 #EthiasArena #Hasselt #EDC17

Nearly right. Barney lost the 2006 Las Vegas Desert Classic final to Part, after beating Taylor in the semis. Barney won the 2006 International Darts League also, which contained top PDC players. If I remember rightly, Barney won 4 Pro Tour titles in 2006, and another 6 in 2007, plus 6 TV titles from May 2006 to July 2007.

Yes. The World Championship tends to be seen as both the last event of one year and the first event of the next year. As the event is actually won in the new year, it's more that.

Well done mate. Barney's Vegas title was the year after then, which will have been the one where Dudders delightfully beat Taylor in Round 1.

A good evening of Professional darts.

Two cracking games, a 9 darter and some lads that look capable of competing for future majors.

I've said it before but MvG left Wade and Lewis behind years a go.

Are the BDO lads claiming, or taking credit, for Rob Cross yet?
