He would rather keep the possibility open to turn up to a random floor event if he feels like it.

However, I don't get the impression that he'll return any time soon. He was mulling over retirement long before April of 2023, and since then he's shown few signs that he wants to make a comeback.

I don't think it's right to blame the players as they are not really gaming the system. They are following the rules which the PDC could easily change if they gave a shit.

I don't think it's right to blame the players as they are not really gaming the system. They are following the rules which the PDC could easily change if they gave a shit.

The 2024 rules will be published soon. I suspect a rule will be added a rule about % of events. It's a tricky area though as there are endless good reasons why players might miss events.
