What about the Wimbledon final in 1980 then?

Remember watching it at the newhaven caravan and camping park in Derbyshire

Slightly out of this window but goochs 333 against india another moment that lives large in the memory

The indian keeper, I think it was kiran more dropped an absolute sitter when he was 30 odd

Ritchie benaud on comms just came out with a very stern

"Oh dear"

I had it on VHS

Goochs indian summer it was called.
Fantastic series that included a 17 year old sachin making a game saving 119 at old Trafford I think it was

Gooch hit a ton in the second innings as well. A huge change from his debut double duck

Three England captains played for Scunthorpe, Botham was one. Without doing an Oche who were the other two?

No team beat England as they didn't qualify.

Was Ray Clemence the England captain
