Team Malt for 2024 will be announced in due course. I won't chuck out any of the players who missed out, you only get kicked out of the team if you retire or become a cunt, but will have to make a differentiation between Tour Card holders and NON TC's.

In answer to your question though, no I would not like to sign any of them players

2024 Team Malt Squad:

Tour card holders:
Rob Cross - The best player in the team, under appreciated player and set up to have a good year
Nathan Aspinall - Another top player in the team who won his biggest major last year and I hope he can pick up another tv title this year
Ryan Joyce - My favourite player, playing the best stuff he's ever played atm and I hope he carries on climbing the ranks this year
Ryan Searle - Good lad and enjoyable to watch
Ross Smith - Another good lad, great player and a nice fella. I like his grit
William O'Connor - Love his walk on song (Zombie), think he's class but needs to show more consistency
Steve Lennon - Back on tour and maybe a fresh start will lead to improved performances, i'd expect him to qualify for the Worlds
Richie Edhouse - A proper jobber to root for, needs to cut out the headshaking though
Steve Beaton - Most likely his last year on the tour, so praying for a good one with an easy qualification to the Worlds
Mario Vandenbogaerde - A likable Euro jobber, I like his throw for some reason

Non Tour Card Holders:
Andy Boulton - Sex Factor will always be one of my favourites, however he hasn't started the CT this year like he did last time so we may not see him as much, especially with no Associate Member qualifiers
Joe Murnan - In terrible form but Midnight will always be in the team. Hopefully can gain some confidence through Modus
Jason Lowe - Doesn't even really play outside of super league but he will always be my favourite
Scott Baker - Didn't bother with Q School so won't see him really this year but he's a good watch
Ryan Furness - Not even sure on this one, he's quite gritty on Modus which I liked
Norbert Attard - Maltese Number 1
Connor Scutt - More than good enough to be on tour, could dominate things outside of the PDC this year
Devon Petersen - Badly struggled last 2 years, hope for some confidence to be gained this year
Dragutin Horvat - Another likable Euro jobber

Soft spots for the following who don't quite make the team but I like to see them do well
Andrew Gilding
Jeffrey De Zwaan
James Wilson
Dave Chisnall
Justin Hood

We all reminisce of the days when Jeff Swan was in his pomp on the big stages

I forgot two members for the ‘soft spot’ list

Brett Claydon and Johnny Haines, 2 cracking players and more importantly, great lads

I forgot to add 2 more for the soft spot squad. I don’t support either enough for them to be in the team but I think this admission will upset some on the forum….

1. Mickey Mansell. Genuinely think he’s a top quality player, and find his floaty throw weirdly mesmerising. He says what he thinks too and his drunken interview will go down in folklore

2. Arron Monk - a massive Tosser but I find him absolutely hilarious to watch. There’s something about the talented players that are absolute headcases that makes me want them to do well. His deleted tweets after an early pro tour defeat are funny..

I was a bit harsh but can't warm to Mansell

Monk is fine
