Bump.

We have a new addition in Hungarian also-ran #1 vs Hungarian also-ran #2.

Oh god I remember that session

Did we decide it was the worst session of tv darts of all time?
Has to be either that or the one at the Ally Pally last winter where Sampson averaged 68 against Kim...
At least all matches finished 3-0. The opening evening may have been even worse.

Iceland vs Bahrain earlier this year is proof that the expansion of the World Cup is a mistake.

Does anyone remember Dolan writing history at the World Grand Prix? By beating Hylton in 2004 with a 62.75 average?

Even for WGP standards back in the day, that isn't very good.

Of course, this deserves a mention, if only for outside of being fucking awful, the way it ends is fucking funny.

Why are we restricting ourselves to televised matches??

Neither playing hitting a treble in a scoring visit for 25 visits straight off the bat in leg 3 is eye hurting juice.

According to DartsOrakel, Inhelder's doubles percentage was 2.4% whilst Olluri's was 1.8%

Okay, I know that the next match was played by two kids so we shouldn't be too harsh on them.

Remember the epic marathon final of the 2018 World Matchplay when Gando won 21-19 against Suljovic, one of the slowest players on the planet?

Excluding breaks, it was 10 minutes shorter than this.

Even for WGP standards back in the day, that isn't very good.
Was a Northern Irishman named Wilton who averaged 54.

I have no memory of witnessing any of it. All I watched of tournaments back then was highlights as they weren't shown in Australia.

I wonder if any footage survives?

I would've assumed it was another classic Wikipedia mistake as it said Hylton on Darts Orakel.

Wikipedia also likes to believe MvG played Glen McGrandle at the 2016 UK Open.

I believe Wikipedia is correct as I think there were 4 Irish/Northern Irish qualifiers in those days and there are 3 apart from him (including Dolan)

I figured so too.

Also Hylton joined the circuit a few years later.

I found a 200 dart leg.

I also found an intriguing leg in a pairs match. It's impressive how one player scores so terribly and the other carries hard enough to still win the leg.

I also found this match of 101 DIDO, although I very much question if it really was double in. Quite possibly the lowest 3DA on all of DartConnect.

The truth, however ugly in itself, is always curious and beautiful to seekers after it.
