I remember disliking the ending to this one but not sure why. 1992 was a great Rumble too. In contrast I loved the ending and its brutal that WWF never did more with Sid

I'm not as gaga over Flair as the average fan, but his performance in 1992 and Heenan's commentary were superb.
And aye Sid was popular during that period. The WWF fans were more into him than they were Flair.

Probably because it was knobbs and quake against Hogan no selling. 92 was a great rumble, easily the best

I'm not sure if it would hold up today, but I recall enjoying the 2007 Rumble.

2007 was good although the ending between taker and hbk dragged on for a few minutes too long in my opinionsennafan24 wrote: ↑Sun Oct 27, 2024 4:19 pm I'm not sure if it would hold up today, but I recall enjoying the 2007 Rumble.

Re: The Pro Wrestling Thread Sponsored by Bob Ross.
Inspired by this thread I fell asleep last night watching the 1998 royal rumble. I have never forggoton Austin's entrance. A ring full of big fellas turned to jump him and he comes out of the crowd and jumps the fence to sneak in and start beating the piss out of folk.
Some of the names in retrospect are laughable. one I literally had no memory of and cant even remember the name now. Chainsaw Charlie (terry Funk), the pig farmers, 8-ball and some other bikers, the honky tonk man. It was certainly very predictable but very fun. Ahmed Johnson looked like terrible stumbling around the ring. Injuries already starting to bog him down and Vader coming in at #30 should have been a huge thing but he'd be reduced to nothing at this point and lasted a few minutes if that!

That's why he's a legend mate, great matches with all kinds of opponents.
