According to Mastercaller, the Professional Darts Players Association website and dartsnews.com, and a number of other websites, Steve Beaton averaged 113.16 in the semi final of the 1994 World Masters against Martin Adams.

I don't think this is correct. There is a video of the match here (excluding the first leg and a half)
In the legs shown, Beaton:
checks out in 12
leaves 40 after 12
checks out in 14
checks out in 15
leaves 30 after 18
leaves 63 after 21
leaves 71 after 15
checks out in 18
leaves 141 after 12
checks out in 14
checks out in 15
This works out at an average of 93.36 over 11 legs. Although the first two legs are missing, even if he had hit two 9 darters in these (which didn't happen), the average would only have been just over 100. Therefore I believe the reported average of 113.16 is impossible.
