yes, he won 10-4 earlier.
if you dropped ronnie cold into the 70s he would have been lucky to win a game to start with!
use to watch it years back at the time of thornburn, young ,jimmy white davis , griffiths and my favorite alex higgins and firmly believe ronny would be as good
just the cloths they played on would be pretty alien to him. you couldnt play the game he does on them.
aint been a follower of snooker for years as i said so would not know the difference or what changes were made
much much thinner cloths and lighter balls.
hence the extreme spins they can get on the balls and the splits they can get on the reds.
that style of play simply wasnt possible back in the day.

I used to play snooker a lot when i was a kid, the coaches wanted me to get coached full time but my parents didnt want me doing snooker full time. I havent played in about 10 years or more, i still used to play on and off but now I just watch it on tv. I was good at english pool too and could be on a pool table all night beating people in the bars/pub, not bragging just telling it as it is. Would probably be really shit at snooker now. I dont like American pool too much. A mate of mine has an american pool table but I told him to stick his winmau board up.

Saw Doherty beat Bingham earlier, wouldn't mind if he went deep
When you actually feel anger over a place like this it's time to get a life

once you started punching him you would never stop.
he was served with divorce papers during a game, even his wife hated him.
