Return of the Legends Tour ?
Would be good for this to happen again, plenty of star names who could take part and with the current state of the game it could well be a winner:
Bristow
Lowe
Manley
Part
Priestley
Harrington ?
Deller ?
Anderson B ?
Baxter
Part
T Jenkins
Lloyd
Add the groper to the list once he's had his couple of years in Tenerife and needs some cash !!!
Alternatively, I'll just get my coat............

Not the worst shout but hard to see it selling?
The pdc crowd are too young to remember most of these.
Bristow is chucking turds by all accounts.
Lloyd, part, jenkins and Baxter (sorry) not a draw.
If they could get Taylor on the gig I could still see folk turning out mind.

Think I'd have better things to do than to watch some hasbeens play darts week in week out.
In a one-off tournament and a relatively short format it'd be okay, league system no.
Better to save the resources for proper tournaments for the current players.

The real problem is when could anyone actually fit this in? The calendar's full

World CupRandall wrote:Early part of the year is still largely bare except the PL.M H wrote:The real problem is when could anyone actually fit this in? The calendar's full
Open
Euro Tours
There's no space for something like this unless it's a pub and club tour

It would run independent of the main tour anyway.M H wrote:World CupRandall wrote:Early part of the year is still largely bare except the PL.M H wrote:The real problem is when could anyone actually fit this in? The calendar's full

It's just a case of whether the PL crowd in even a tiny part would turn out to watch.
Depends on Taylors presence.

Correct! Ignoring the practicalities for a minute, I'd love to watch this as a one-off, over say a long weekend. The Thorn wrote:In a one-off tournament and a relatively short format it'd be okay, league system no.
Much much worse novelty darts shite has found its way onto TV.

Tim Vine is hilarious and he should play Tony O'Shea at every event.......................Rogg wrote:Much much worse novelty darts shite has found its way onto TV.The Thorn wrote:In a one-off tournament and a relatively short format it'd be okay, league system no.

Aye, an annual competition would be a nice idea.
I agree that Taylor's presence would greatly help.

Would certainly help the marketing and viewership side, but probably not the competition. Can't see anyone even getting close to him.sennafan24 wrote:Aye, an annual competition would be a nice idea.

The live ITV celebrity pairs thing before the Grand Slam a few years ago was a lot better and ended hilariously, but the whole celeb thing is always agony.

Btw; he hasn't been mentioned, but Mardle would almost certainly be an entrant.

Correct. First name on the list probably. Mabbsy couldn't bring himself to mention the palm tree waving buffoon...sennafan24 wrote:Btw; he hasn't been mentioned, but Mardle would almost certainly be an entrant.
