Despite Bazball, the fastest ever test century by an English player was by one GL Jessop when he scored his hundred off just 76 balls at the Oval against Captain Hobo’s lot.
I can only imagine the disgust of the crowd watching at such an aberration.

You have to accept they are just going to keep attacking but there needs to be some intelligence to it.

Root seems the 1 player adversely affected to me?
Sure he averaged higher before its advent. He has had some lunatic dismissal.
The overhead scoop to be caught behind comes to mind

What is so frustrating was the fact England were in control of the match at the start of the day. The Root dismissal was a shocker, but if he pulls that shot off it looks great. Bazball has been proven to work more than not and you still wouldn’t rule England out of this match.
