What he said

- Local darters in the World series was poor, Not expected to compete, Look at local competitions
- Asian World Series event possible
- Matchplay figures "Best Ever" (Not quite IIRC)
- Doesn't quite bother him who wins
- Littler in a learning curve and has years and years left in him
- Great to see Wright in form
- Close to a 14th Euro Tour, Venue issues
- More Pro Tours to help the "Lesser" players
- Porter said "Asked 128th in the world, if he wants to play 2 or 10 of the top 16 in a Pro tour, Barrs Laughs
- Porter said it's unlikely they will be like Tennis in his lifetime
- Understands its difficult for overseas players like Puha
- Half the tour are full time. Wants to get 128
- "If you can't earn a living from 96 events you shouldn't be a pro, Earn a living"
- - Masters They are going to be creative with the 32, NOT THE TOP 32
- NO PREMIER LEAGUE FORMAT CHANGE Porter smuggly goes "Everyone will be delighted"
- 100 Players in the mix for the Premier League, Barrs doesn't think so
- Integrity in darts "We are the Market Leaders" Doesn't believe its Modus fault about Bennett (Not mentioning Bennett)
- DRA deal with cases right and that's why it will take time, Each for the FA for example has they are judge, jury & Executioner
- Tickets issue is an industry one not a darts one. Same demand for Ally Pally has Glastonbury, We want to be fair to loyal fans (Only 4 sessions allowed)
- Close to 128 players for the World Championships perhaps 2026
- Last World Championship for Sky (In this current TV Deal) Talks ongoing - November 2025 it expires (DAZN?)
- Perhaps format changes in the future. 501 will remain
- Womens Series "More competition at the top end" will increase in the future

Looked really sure about the 128 unfortunatly. It will hurt the WDF. With the expansion it probably is just simpler to just buy/build a dedicated building where you can have Q-school, PT, WT, CT, DT and qualifiers. And if you put it in Germany you could add the Next Gen stuff.

It will. I rather the WDF moved back to 32 & make it more robust but it will be more PDC Tourcard holders who will qualify.

Has for a buliding, I thought the PDC would actually do this but i suppose its cost etc

Yeah even without the change Lakeside has to get rid of the weekday afternoons. It just hurts the product. But they probably wont because they want the good players to play but also have to invite 2 spots of each region, because otherwise why would they pay a players levy on each Open entry. Would be nice if they could cut that back to just 1, or when somebody already is in the top 16 that spot doesnt go down to a other players

Presumably dartitis has nothing to do with darts
It's just where it manifests

WDF don't need 48 players involved. Loads are involved in the World Masters. 32 would be ideal amount and cut the sessions

Yes but I can see that for instance the Asian region want 2 spots because who is going to travel to different countries (probably need Visa for each different) to gain points if there isnt really much to play for. The World Masters dont have a lot of prize money. Each tournament has to pay I believe 100$ for bronze event and 250$ for silver (besides $2 per entry) to the WDF. Without a real prize ( a spot at Lakeside) people probably dont travel as much but the fixed amount and venue rent stay for the organisator. I can imagine the heads of the different regions demanded spots because why would they otherwise pay that money (a dollar in some countries is worth a lot) when people are less likely to show up. In some regions you have to travel a lot and even more if you want a proper World ranking as a additional chance to get into Lakeside, which also not helps.

But I agree, less players and no afternoons on mon, tue and wens (thursday maybe, but they probably need it now with the extra youth spots) is needed.

I know that the BDO wanted to introduce player levy's in its dying year, but got a lot of complaints and the Dutch Open even didnt agree so it didnt carry BDO points. But does anybody know when the WDF introduced player levy's? Was it after BDO's death?

I wonder what Bristow would be doing about it if it happened to him today. A whole new world of support would be available to him.
