Friday 16th September 1994. 30 years ago today.

The first episode of 'Knowing Me, Knowing You...with Alan Partridge' aired on BBC2. Alan hits the big time with his own chat show.

Here's the episode, plus a listing for the repeat on the following day.

Tuesday 16th September 2003.

Ignoring the pilot, the first episode of the Little Britain tv sketch show aired on BBC Three. 21 years ago today.

Somewhat difficult to believe that it even happened.

Here was the first airing of 'Knowing Me, Knowing You... with Alan Partridge' as it appeared in the Radio Times, 30 years ago yesterday. 10pm on BBC2.

1994 end of September I moved to Luxembourg so this would have been my last weeks of UK tv before MTV was our only non-foreign channel for 6 months.

Here's how the Radio Times presented the first episode of Bottom. 32 years ago today (yesterday). 9pm on BBC2.

Rik says their working title was 'Your Bottom'.

The very loved 'Four Candles' sketch aired on The Two Ronnies sketch show 48 years ago yesterday.
