The truth, however ugly in itself, is always curious and beautiful to seekers after it.

Translate Randall to English:
The only meaningful games Taylor and Adams played against one another were at the 2001 Matchplay and 2006 World Darts Trophy.
Randall considers the 1997 NOTW event to be as meaningless as Seniors events due to its short format.

Adams was not in the same league as Taylor and Barney.
But you know this.

Aye, but what does that scoreline really tell us?
Harrington was went 7-7 with Taylor in the 1990s [7-9 overall], yet Taylor won almost all of their TV battles.
Adams's H2H is similar, just with a smaller sample size and the luxury of facing the Seniors version of Taylor.

I'm not saying that Adams was a better player far from it and 2 of his wins was when Taylor was World Champion, Harrington was the only PDC player for years (Until Part) to actually withstand Taylor

5/5 is very impressive. He was amazing in 2021.
That hiding of Price in the Grand Prix was a thing of beauty.

Those are just the finals he's won. He's lost quite a few too.

On TV, during their 2001 World Matchplay semi final, the commentators were saying that Adams had beaten Taylor in 2 of their 3 matches played. Adams must have beaten Taylor somewhere else aside from the 1999 Scania Open. The longer format of the 2001 World Matchplay semi final was well in Taylor's favour. 1990s Taylor had a reputation of sometimes starting slow.
